ProAct Industrial Degassing Service:
Our team of specialists are trained and experienced

in all aspects of vapor abatement. ProAct has been providing vapor treatment services across the U.S. for over 15 years, utilizing a variety of treatment options such as carbon adsorption, thermal oxidization (Therm-Ox), catalytic oxidization (Cat-Ox), and internal combustion engine (ICE).

With high concern over air emissions, many state regulators have adopted more stringent regulations for control and reporting of these emissions

before and during tank cleaning operations.

This is where we can help! ProAct understands the hazardous conditions that are created during tank cleaning, especially when dealing with high VOC concentrations. We're ready to work with you to manage these vapors. ProAct utilizes a twin internal combustion engine system with a hydraulic load that has a burn rate up to 1.5 million BTU/hour, with a flow rate of 120 CFM per engine. ProAct also uses thermal oxidizers systems with burn rates ranging from 3,000,000 to 15,000,000 BTU/hour and flow rates randing 500 to 5000 CFM. Vapor scrubber systems is also used, which has a max flow capacity of 1000 CFM

. This allows for a higher rate of vapor destruction. And since the ICE does not require the amount of dilution air that an oxidizer would, there is less propane use and less CO2 emissions. This process is used for crude oil, gasoline, benzene, toluene, xylene, and many other combustible volatile organic compounds.

With a focus on safety,

our degassing equipment is outfitted with a flame arrestor and fire control system and is suitable for use in refineries, chemical plants and tank terminals. The unit operates under vacuum from the storage tank to the engines so there is no chance of a leak causing additional safety concerns. When it comes to reporting, the equipment will correctly measure the flow during the degassing event and record the data in a data logger. This data is provided to our clients in a project report

, including volumes treated, contaminants destroyed, and all other necessary data required by state regulations and site specific permits.
