Overview:
Pilot studies are conducted to determine what flow rate is required to achieve a desired ground water depression (cone of depression) to capture or pull contaminated water to the well. The study also determines how much water will be yielded from any given well. Knowing the general characteristics of the soil types helps identify the sizing of the pump to obtain the desirable results. ProAct can provide ground water pumps for specific flow rates and control the flow rate with flow control valves . ProAct can also provide variable frequency drive (vfd) pumps in the range of the anticipated flow rate to allow the engineer to adjust flow rates though out the test or maintain a ground water level within the well by looping the vfd with a level transmitter.
Regardless of the ground water pump design, it is often necessary to treat the ground water prior to discharge. ProAct provides a complete line of mobile water treatment systems ranging from a simple carbon polishing system to systems capable of oil/water separation, air stripping, bag filters and media polishing. All of these systems are fully automated and built for safety and ease of operation. Shut down interlocks between the ground water pumping system and the water treatment system are standard.

When you are ready to design and implement a pilot study or full scale system, ProAct is there to assist and provide the treatment technology and expertise to operate it. ProAct has performed numerous pilot studies from South America to Alaska and the States between. These services include Air Sparging Remediation, Groundwater Remediation, Soil Vapor Extraction, and In Situ Ozone Oxidation, Dual Phase Extraction Systems, Internal Combustion Engine system, chemical injection systems, just to name a few.

Safety First:
Safety is the priority on every job site. ProAct has an excellent OSHA Safety record. Our staff is first aid and 40 hour Hazwoper trained and participate in medical monitoring, drug, and alcohol testing. In an ongoing effort to promote safety, we hold daily risk assessment meetings and discuss the site activities for the day, to ensure we maintain a safe work environment.
